The PDC Nordic & Baltic now recognised as an established Tour, a graduation rewarded with the retention of its PDC European Tour Qualification spot. This will also affect the entry fees for both the Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour and the ETQ’s immediatly.
There have been major European Tour Qualifying criteria changes implemented by the PDC for this season, changes that coincide with the moving of all PDC Players Championships to mid week. Tour Card Holders will now have to commit totally full time to their dart career. Major tournaments such as the European Tours 13 events have had to be made more accessible to PDC Tour Card Holders.
PDC Nordic & Baltic have strived to offer the Nordic & Baltic players the oppertunities to succeed at the highest level of the sport since 2012. We are very proud of being recognised as a Tour worthy of a European Tour spot, and we are also very proud of the continued investment in our Tour by the PDC. Their continued backing will help us continue to develop the PDC Nordic & Baltic Tour until we do not only supply Tour Card holders but have Tour Card Holders qualifying to play in our own PDC Northern European Tour Events.
Due to the fact that the PDC and PDPA no longer consider the PDC Nordic & Baltic a region of development, some changes will follow to bring the tour into line with the rest of Europe and indeed the World.
The entry fee for each Pro Tour event will increase from 30€ to 40€. This will be the price for every player including Tour Card Holders, so the free entry for Tour Card holders will cease from this season.
As for the European Qualifiers, the entry fee will increase from 60€ to 90€, which is the level of all other European Qualifiers throughout Europe.
There will also be a 15€ PDPA Day Membership due for non PDPA affiliated members for every individual Euro Tour Event. This means the total price will be at 105€ for entering a European Qualifier.
For Q-School participants free entry to PDCNB Euro Tour Qualifiers will cease. They will however be entitled to a reduce entrance fee of 45€.
With the new entry fees we are also going to introduce unranked prize money in our European Qualifiers, meaning the losing finalist will receive 120€, semi-finalists 60€ each. For ETQs with more than 40 participants 30€ will be awarded for each quarter-finalist.
We are very much looking forward to the next chapter for PDC Nordic & Baltic, as we want to keep promoting the darts in the Nordic and Baltic region and keep making opportunities for the Nordic and Baltic players.
The changes to the entry fees will take effect immediatly. However, if you shoud be one of the players who has already registered for Latvia you will be refunded or contacted by the PDC Nordic admin staff within the next few days.
Registrations will be open from tomorrow January 31.
