Darius Labanauskas won the Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour 7 and are closing in on the record of most titles on the Pro Tour.
Kim Viljanen holds the record of most Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour titles, as he has 16 to his name. Darius Labanauskas however could take the record this season, as he won his 15th title at Saturday with five events left of the season of 2026.
Darius Labanauskas played against Daniel Larsson in the final of the Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour 7. The Lithunian went ahead after an 18 darter, however Daniel Larsson quickly equalized with a 13 darter in the second leg.
After this Daniel Larsson did not manage to win a single leg, meaning Darius Labanauskas won five legs in a row, with two 15 darters as the best. The Lithuanian secured the match win an impressive 104 checkout, meaning his second title of the season was written into the history books.
As a seeded player Darius Labanauskas received a BYE into the round of 32, meaning he started the tournament with an all Lithuanian match against Arunas Sakalauskas.
Darius Labanauskas managed to get himself in front by both 2-0 and 3-1, before Sakalauskas won three legs in a row, giving him a lead of 4-3. Aterwards “Lucky D” also managed to win three legs in a row, meaning the former World Championship quarter-finalist won the match by 6-4.
Andreas Hyllgaardhus then awaited in the round of 16, however the Dane could not do much against Darius Labanauskas, who won the match 6-1 with an average just above 87.
The quarter-final proved to be something of an encounter, as Anton Östlund managed to go ahead by 5-4 after the first nine legs. Darius Labanauskas then equalized the score with a 15 darter, before securing the match with a 14 darter in the 11th and deciding leg.
The Lithuanian then faced his second Dane of the day, as he was up against Andreas Nielsen in the semi-final. But just as in his first encounter with a Dane, he once again managed to win the match by the impressive score of 6-1.
Daniel Larsson received a BYE into the round of 32, in which he had to face Latvian Edgar Znutins. The Latvian held his throw in the first leg, giving him a lead by 1-0. Larsson however then produced two 15 darters in a row getting himself in front, and with a further three legs won, he got himself up by 5-1, before Znutins won his second and last leg of the match, as Larsson won the match by 6-2 averaging just above 92.
In the round of 16 Daniel Larsson whitewashed Valters Melderis and won the match by 6-0 before going into the quarter-finals against fellow Swede Sebastian Caris.
Caris however had a hard time against the multiple Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour title winner, meaning Daniel Larsson won the match by 6-3 with an impressive 12 darter along the way.
Afterwards Daniel Larsson had to face Jonas Graversen in the semi-final. And after each player had held their throws in the first two legs, Daniel Larsson produced an 11 darter to win the third leg and did not look back after this. And even though Graversen won another leg in the match, Daniel Larsson ended up winning the game by 6-2, securing his spot in the final against Darius Labanauskas.
At Friday two European Qualifiers were being held, which ended up with Mio Varila qualifying for the European Darts Open and Jonas Masalin qualifying for the Hungarian Darts Trophy.
Later today the last European Qualifier of the weekend will be held, before the weekend ends with the Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour 8 at Sunday.
