Viktor Tingström secured himself a Tour Card at the first day of Final Stage at Q-School in Germany. Now he is looking for great results in some of the greater events.
Q-School anno 2025 became quite a success for the Nordic and Baltic region. No less than three Tour Cards ended up in the region, and with Madars Razma, Jeffrey de Graaf and Benjamin Reus already on the PDC Pro Tour a record of six Nordic and Baltic players will be a part of the 2025/2026 season.
Viktor Tingström was the first of three Nordic Tour Cards this time, as he went all the way and won the first day of Final Stage in Kalkar.
“It feels great to win a Tour Card. It was a dream come true. I am feeling like I am going to wake up and everything will just be a dream. I am just super happy,” Viktor Tingström tells pdc-nordic.tv.
“It was crazy winning the card like that. From the first game to the last I felt extremely good and extremely focused. Nothing could stop me on that day, and to be the first one getting a card is amazing. Took the card exactly the way I wanted to, even if I could not dream it beforehand.”
And even though we did not see Viktor Tingström playing a lot on the Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour last season, he still have some great experience going into these new tournaments on the PDC Pro Tour, as he played on the Development Tour last season.
“The Development Tour is played in the venues that I will be playing in now. The longer games will be something I need to get used to quick, but I do not think that it will be a problem.”
With Jeffrey de Graaf already on the Pro Tour and Oskar Lukasiak also getting a Tour Card, here will be some fellow Swedes in the venues and Viktor Tingström feels like it can ease some things going into this new adventure.
“They are both great guys, who can help me in the beginning. I am very lucky that I have many friends already on the tour. I like to have fun when I am at tournaments, so to have familiar faces that I have had fun with before will definitely help.”
“The ambitions for 2025 are to learn, get better and get some good results on the way. I will take it as it comes. But I do want to play the World Cup and some Euro Tours as well, and I would not mind winning some trophies on one of the tours. I am already qualified for the UK Open and Nordic Darts Masters, so I’m eyeing those tournaments to try to go deep in.”
The first tournament for Viktor Tingström in the PDC will be the Winmau World Masters later this month, when he will be a part of the field in the Preliminary Rounds.
