Madars Razma was the best from the PDC Nordic & Baltic region this midweek.
Players Championship 23 and 24 has been played yesterday and today. The PDC Nordic & Baltic region was represented by Madars Razma and Marko Kantele. Darius Labanauskas was not at the tournaments this time.
Already at Players Championship 23 Madars Razma secured the best result for the midweek, as he reached the round of 32. He beat both Wayne Jones and Adam Hunt by 6-3 in the first two rounds, averaging 97,5 against Wayne Jones and 87,2 against Adam Hunt.
In the round of 32, he lost 6-3 against Peter Wright, who ended up reaching the semi-finals.
Marko Kantele unfortunately lost already in the first round, as he lost 6-2 against Bradley Brooks.
The entire event was won by Jose De Sousa. Making him the first ever Portuguese to win an official PDC event.
At Players Championship 24 Madars Razma lost already in the first round. He averaged a fine 91.5, but unfortunately Benito van de Pas averaged 100.7 and ended up winning the match by 6-3.
Unfortunately Marko Kantele also lost in the first round against James Wade. James Wade gout up by 2-0, but then Marko got on 2-1, before he checked out impressive 167 to make it even. James Wade then got ahead by 5-2 and ended up winning 6-3. Marko Kantele ended up with an average of 91.7.
James Wade ended up going all the way and beating Dave Chisnall by 8-6 in the final. Making it his fifth Players Championship title this season.
