Michael van Gerwen won the first ever Nordic Darts Masters as he beat Fallon Sherrock in a really well played final.
Michael van Gerwen won his first title of 2021, as he beat Fallon Sherrock 11-7 in the final of the first ever Nordic Darts Masters.
As the game reached the first commercial break, Fallon Sherrock were up by 3-2 and averaging impressive 101.87.
After this Fallon Sherrock only went on and got up by 6-4 at the second commercial break.
Michael van Gerwen then got back into the game, as he won four out of five legs before the third commercial, meaning he could go into the break with a 8-7 lead.
After this Michael van Gerwen did not give anything away and thus he won the match by 11-7.
Michael van Gerwen started of the day by beating Madars Razma by 10-4 and then went on a won the semifinal against Jonny Clayton by 11-7.
Fallon Sherrock though got a bye in the second round match against Gerwyn Price, as he had withdrawn from the tournament do to an injury in his elbow.
Thus Fallon Sherrock had to go up against Dimitri Van den Bergh in the semifinal. At 7-1 for Dimitri Van den Bergh, no one expected ‘The Queen of the Palace’ to be making darting history, but as she slowly got back into the game, the crowd went absoluty mad. And when the got that dart into double 10, the roof came off in the Forum, and thus it was a fact, that Fallon Sherrock is the first ever women to reach a televised PDC final.
