Marko Kantele reached the third round again un Sunday.
Just as Saturday, Marko Kantele managed to reach the third round on Sunday, at Players Championship 8. He started of by winning 6-2 in the first round against Gavin Carlin.
In the second round he had to go up against Ryan Meikle, just as the day before. This time Meikle won one more leg, than he did Saturday, meaning Marko Kantele won 6-3.
However, Robert Marijanovic became to much in the third round. Marko had his opportunities, but in the end Marijanovic won the game by 6-5.
Madars Razma also had a great day in Wigan at Sunday. After beating Luke Humphries by 6-5 in the first round, he won by 6-5 again in the second round against Steve Lennon. Madars Razma averaged impressive 102,6 in this match.
Unfortunately the Latvian, just as Marko Kantele, could not get through the third round, as he lost 6-1 against Cristo Reyes.
Darius Labanauskas lost already in the first round, as he was beaten 6-5 by Max Hopp. The German started the math with some incredible play, and with averaged above 100 he quickly got ahead by 3-0. Darius Labanauskas got back in the match, but at the score 5-5, Max Hopp pulled a 107,4 average to secure the match.
The tournament was won by Adrian Lewis. The win, was his first title in about two years. To make it more nostalgic, it was Raymond van Barneveld he did beat in the final by 8-3, when he averaged 101,1.
