Madars Razma managed to get all the way to the final day at the Interwetten Austrian Darts Open, but his best performance was at the very first day.
For the fourth time this season, the European Tour was on the programme this weekend. At the event we saw three players from the Nordic & Baltic region, as Johan Engström, Darius Labanauskas and Madars Razma all had managed to qualify for the Interwetten Austrian Darts Open.
Johan Engström was the first of the three, as he went on stage to play against Ricky Evans, and even though the Swede got up by 3-0, the rapid Englishman proved to strong and won the match by 6-4.
After this Madars Razma went on stage, and then went down from it just after, as he demolished Michael Rasztovits by 6-0 and averaged magnificent 108,65, which is his highest ever registered average at a televised event.
As the last match of the opening day, Darius Labanauskas went up against Rowby-John Rodriguez. However the Austrian favourite won the match by 6-3.
Madars Razma then went on winning against José de Sousa at Saturday, but then lost at Sunday, when he met Nathan Aspinall in the last 16.
Nathan Aspinall however, lost against Danny Noppert in the semifinal and then Noppert lost against Michael van Gerwen in the final, as the former World Champion won the match by 8-5.
