It is time for last two events on the PDC Nordic & Baltic Pro Tour this weekend in Riga.
In less than an hour, the first event of the last PDC Nordic & Baltic weekend will start. It is not one of the Pro Tour events, but the qualifier for the second European Tour event in 2020.
13 names have registered for the qualifier, and among those names we find three of our competitors on the Challenge Tour in Mindaugas Barasukas, Niels Heinsøe and Niels-Jørgen Hansen. Danish Per Laursen, who qualified for the Danish Darts Open earlier this year, will also give it a go in the qualifier.
At Saturday and Sunday the last two Pro Tour events of this year will be played. This means, that when the last tournament has been played at Sunday, we will know, who will go to Ally Pally in December. It is already known, that Darius Labanauskas and Madars Razma will go, as Darius has qualified through the PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit, which means, that it will be number two and number three on our rankings, who will go to the World Championships, and as Madars Razma can’t be overtaken by both Marko Kantele (3) and Dennis Nilsson (4), he is already sure to stay in the top three.
In theory, five players can still take the last ticket for Ally Pally, but Marko Kantele looks like the favourite. Dennis Nilsson, who is number four on the rankings before this weekend, is unfortunately sick and therefore he will not be participating this weekend. Ulf Ceder, Daniel Larsson, Oskar Lukasiak and Niels Heinsøe will have to secure themself quite alot of prize money this weekend, to bring themselves into the fight for the third place, but bigger miracles has been seen in this world.
As always, you can follow all the matches on Dartconnect.
