Another round of matches from the third round is on today’s program, here the day before Christmas Eve.
Darius Labanauskas continued his streak of victories as he beat Max Hopp yesterday by 4-2 in the afternoon session. This means, that Darius will be in the fourth round, which is a new record for the Lithuanian. Before Darius’ win, Stephen Bunting won in safe stile against Jonny Clayton, and in the afternoon’s final match, it turned into a 4-3 victory for Nathan Aspinall when he was up against Krzysztof Ratajski.
In the evening, Steve Beaton won against James Wade, which means, that he will go up against Darius Labanauskas in the fourth round, followed by a win for Kim Huybrechts against Danny Noppert. The evening was shut down by Michael van Gerwen, who after a great level match and fast darts, won 4-0 against Ricky Evans.
