Labanauskas continues his run in the Players Championship Finals

It’s the second day of the Players Championship Finals and we must have found the quarterfinals.

The first round of the Players Championship made it clear that the tournament will find a new winner this year as Daryl Gurney lost something shockingly 6-5 against Luke Woodhouse. Peter Wright is also somewhat surprising out of the tournament as he lost by the same digits against James Wilson.

In contrast, most of the other favorites got through to the second round, with Gerwyn Price in particular impressing as he continued the superb form with an average of 101.95 in his 6-3 win against Mickey Mansell. In addition to the Welshman, only Michael van Gerwen got an average above 100 in yesterday’s matches.

Darius Labanauskas also won his match, as he won 6-5 against Harry Ward.

Today’s program consists of the second round for the afternoon and the third round for the evening. In this afternoon’s program we will see, among other things, Adrian Lewis, who will face Michael van Gerwen. The two met last week at the Grand Slam of Darts, where Michael van Gerwen won with a stellar 16-6. No doubt, it must be a fight that Lewis would like to show was just a single case.
