Gerwyn Price won both Players Championship events in this weekend.
Gerwyn Price played one of the best Players Championship weekends seen in a long time this weekend. The Welsh won both events, which meens he won no less than 14 matches in a row. And if that is not impressive enough, it is worth to mention, that the Welsh averaged above 100 in ten of those matches.
At Saturday he thus averaged 99,74 throughout the entire tournament, at Sunday he averaged 99,74.
For the PDC Nordic & Baltic players, the weekend was not quite as successful. At Saturday Marko Kantele was the firt man, who was beaten by Gerwyn Price, as he lost 6-4 against Price.
Madars Razma had won his first match by 6-5 against William O’Connor, but unfortunately the Latvian also ran into Gerwyn Price and lost by 6-2 in the second round.
For Darius Labanauskas, Saturday also resulted in two matches, as he won 6-4 in the first match against Adam Hunt. Darius Labanauskas averaged impressive 100,7 in that match. In the second match he met Josh Payne and lost 6-2.
On Sunday Marko Kantele, unfortunately, once again lost in the first round, as he lost 6-4 against Tytus Kanik, even though Marko Kantele averaged 90,9 against Kanik’s 84,2.
Madars Razma reached the second round again, as he beat John Michael by 6-3 in the first round. In the second round he met Kyle Anderson, who won 6-3 against the Latvian.
