Cor Dekker won the first title of the Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour season making him historic.
Cor Dekker won the first event of the Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour in 2026, as he won against World Championship participant Andreas Harrysson in the final by x-x.
The title is the only second for Cor Dekker on the Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour, winning the first one back in 2018 in Finland. With this second title he is now the Norwegian with the most Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour titles, as Robert Wagner only have one to his name.
In the final Cor Dekker quickly got himself up by 2-0, with a break of throw in the first leg of the match before Andreas Harrysson got the score to 2-1. Cor Dekker then held his hold of throw and then broke once again, getting him up by 4-1, before Andreas Harrysson won two legs in a row.
Things looked like going in the right direction for Cor Dekker after getting up by 5-3, however Harrysson wasn’t to go down without a fight, equalizing for 5-5, before Cor Dekker managed to secure the victory by a magnificent 160 checkout in the deciding leg.
Cor Dekker did not have that much of trouble in his first three rounds, as he only lost three legs throughout the three games. In the first round he won 6-2 against Asko Niskala, before winning 6-1 against Oskars Kuzmans from Latvia in the round of 32, before he demolished fellow Tour Card holder Darius Labanauskas by 6-0 in the round of 16.
In the quarter-final the Norwegian was up against Icelandic Alexander Thorvaldsson, and even though the man from the eruptive island managed to follow Cor Dekker until 2-2, the Norwegian proved to strong and won the match 6-2 with an average at 89.20.
In the semi-final Dmitriy Zhukov awaited, having played some really strong games throughout the day against names as Andreas Hylgaardhus, Johan Engström and Oskar Lukasiak.
The Latvian got himself in front with a 15-darter, before Cor Dekker won the next three in 18, 18 and 15 darts. The Latvian however wasn’t done impressing, as he reduced the score to 3-2 by a 14-darter.
The match then got to 4-3, before Cor Dekker won two legs in a row securing the match and his spot in the final.
Andreas Harrysson also got off to a good start with an impressive 6-0 win against former Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour title winner Andreas Toft Jørgensen in the round of 64 averaging just above 91.
In the next round he won 6-4 against fellow Swede Ola Erlandsson before also taking out Anton Östlund in the round of 16 by a 6-5 score.
The quarter-final was once again an all Swedish match, as Andreas Harrysson went up against Daniel Larsson. Harrysson quickly had his back up against the wall, as Daniel Larsson won the first three legs and got himself up by 3-0.
Andreas Harrysson then nudged it up a gear and got himself on 3-1 with a magnificent 12-darter, before winning yet another three legs, giving him the lead bu 4-3.
Larsson then leveled the score, before Andreas Harrysson won the match by taking the two last legs, giving him a 6-4 win.
In the semi-final Andreas Harrysson did not look back, averaging just above 99 against Jani Laurila he won the match by 6-2 and secured that spot in the final.
At Friday Andreas Harrysson and Jonas Masalin managed to qualify for the European Tour, as Andreas Harrysson will be going to the Poland Darts Open and Jonas Masalin will be going to Germany for the European Darts Trophy.
Tonight we will see the last European Qualifier of the weekend, as the Nordic and Baltic player for the Belgian Darts Open will have to be found.
