In a new Round Robin format, the PDC Nordic & Baltic Championship will see eight groups of three players compete in Odense.
After the conclusion of the Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour in Estonia, the 24-players field was confirmed for the PDC Nordic & Baltic Championship.
As a change from last year, the tournament will start with eight groups consisting of three players in each group in a Round Robin.
The winner of each group will proceed to the next round.
As another first, the tournament will take place in Odense Congress Center in the home town of famous H. C. Andersen.
In Group A we find a Swedish pairing, as Daniel Larsson and Anton Östlund will be accompanied by the only Icelandic player in the field Alexander Thorvaldsson.
Cor Dekker, as the only Norwegian, will be going up against Andreas Toft Jørgensen and Jonas Masalin in Group B.
Jani Haavisto ended up as number three on the PDCNB rankings after his first year back on the Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour, which has seeded him into Group C alongside Jonas Sørensen, who won his first ever Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour title this year, and Rickard Johansson.
The Danish World Cup of Darts duo Jonas Graversen and Benjamin Drue Reus will also have to face each other at the oche in Group D, in which we also find Jani Laurila from Finland.
In Group E we have ourselves a little sandwich, as Oskar Lukasiak finds himself between two times Andreas in the likes of Andreas Harrysson and Andreas Hyllgaardhus.
Sixth seeded Lithuanian Darius Labanauskas will go up against his fellow Baltic Dmitriy Zhukov in Group F. They will also have to face PDC Nordic & Baltic Championship debutant Mio Varila from Finland, who won his first Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour title of his career earlier this year.
Tour Card holder Viktor Tingström secured his spot alongside the eight seeded players with a good weekend in Estonia, meaning he will go up against Johan Engström and Valters Melderis in Group G.
Finally, we have another debutant and newly crowned Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour title winner in the like of Petri Rasmus in Group H. He will face the defending champion of the PDC Nordic & Baltic Championship Teemu Harju and Danish Andreas Nielsen.
The second edition of the PDC Nordic & Baltic Championship will kick off at 19.00 local time Friday November 6th.
