Cor Dekker will be aiming for the title at the 2026 PDC Nordic & Baltic Championship, but he knows it will be tough to end up lifting the Jann Hoffman Trophy.
With two Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour titles this season, Cor Dekker is the Norwegian with most titles in the PDC Nordic & Baltic with a total of three titles.
And even though the titles were secured in the first half of the season, the Norwegian is still confident going into the 2026 PDC Nordic & Baltic Championship in Odense.
“Even though my latest results on the Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour weren’t that great, I think my form is quite good. Practice is going well, so I will be prepared,” Cor Dekker tells pdc-nordic.tv.
With his Tour Card the Norwegian has been playing against some of the best dart players in the world in the last two years and he does think it could be an advantage for him in Odense.
“It helps a lot playing tournaments against the biggest names in the world. It raises your game because you have to play at a high level to win.”
Cor Dekker is second seeded in the tournament and has been drawn up against Andreas Toft Jørgensen and Jonas Masalin. However he does not imagine it will be easy to progress from the group, but his ambition is to do so and even more than that.
“It is what it is. I’m confident about my game, but it will not be easy. My ambition is always to win every tournament and it would be nice to win it this year.”
Cor Dekker will be starting his title race Saturday afternoon against the loser of the game between Andreas Toft Jørgensen and Jonas Masalin.
