Can Whitlock and Smith keep up the pace?

Tonight Simon Whitlock and Raymond van Barneveld will face each other in the last match of the night.

Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle will set the stage at tonights third round of the Premier League.

The biggest match of the evening will, with no doubt, be the match between the two former World Champions. Scottish Gary Anderson and the Dutchman Michael van Gerwen. Both players have had a mixed start at the tournament. Both players have managed to get two points out of four possible.

The only two players with four points are, quite surprising, Simon Whitlock and Michael Smith. Tonight they’re going for another two point against respectively Raymond van Barneveld and Mensur Suljovic.

We also have Rob Cross, the man with the most awful start of the tournament. He will try to get the first victory of the tournament against in-form Peter Wright.

“All the lack of practice affected me, because normally I practice every single day. Not practising for weeks is not good for my preparation but I’m working harder than ever and that will pay off,” Peter Wright tells ahead of the match tonight.

“I’m back using the diamond darts, and after coming back from Wigan at the weekend I’ve put all my other darts away – I’ve only got the diamond ones out now.”

Peter Wright is obviously full of confidence, so it seems like Rob Cross have to find something extraordinary to win tonight.

No matter what it is going to be yet another night with some fantastic dart.
